| Shrink wrapping is the process of wrapping a product, using a number of wrapping options available like sleeve wrap or L-sealing, with a clear plastic that shrinks when heated to fit tightly around the shape of the product. Shrink wrapping, or shrink wrap makes use of a number of different types of material to achieve this process. This is all dependant on the product and the operation of the individual process. |

| Shrink wrapping film during the shrinking process can reduce by half its size which means that the sleeve around the product need not be too tight. It can be purchased in large rolls or a variety of precut sizes. Small uniform items such as CDs can be slipped into shrink wrap bags that are already sealed on three sides. The open side is sealed and the entire package heated so that the bag shrinks to an exact fit. |
