| Dear Valued Customer, We regret to announce that at the beginning of April of this year, it was brought to our attention that some of our customers have been serviced by a company who claims to be a sub contractor for Starpak, who has apparently been doing this for some time now. We can confirm unequivocally that Starpak has never and will never sub contract our service department to any company. Our after sales service is what our reputation is based on and handing this over to anyone else would be detrimental to our survival. |

| We have also discovered that there are actually two separate companies, that we are aware of, doing this and we feel it necessary to warn you. We have to point out that any work done by a rogue sub contractor would be void of any warranty on the machinery and we can carry no responsibility in terms of the operation and the safety of the machine. The companies in question that we are aware of are being run by former disgruntled employees who were dismissed because they were both caught stealing from the company. The matter of fraudulently operating under our brand is currently being investigated by the police. |

| It has also come to our attention that not only are they operating under false pretences, but customers are being ripped off by their pricing structures. We have copies of some of their invoices and in some cases are charging more than 2000% more on spares than we do. In some cases their labour rate is more than ours. We also suspect that they are charging VAT erroneously and the matter has also been forwarded to SARS. We cannot express the value of having your equipment serviced and maintained by the manufacturer who have been around for more than 6 decades. |
